Although such investment scam e-mails may be easily found in your spam box, they may sometimes appear in one's own inbox which some think that only safe e-mails are found there. And yes, some people do fall prey to these scams.

So how to identify one?

  1. It promises high return with no risk.
  2. Has CAPITALIZED LETTERS
  3. !!!!!Many exclamation marks!!!!!
  4. Comes from free e-mail providers (e.g. Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.) as these hide the address of the original message.
